This is not a negative post :D
Has anyone using 64bit Vista notice that when you add items to a library that they do not refresh in the library? I am having this problem with bitmap images and the icon that represents them showing up in the library folder. They will not show up when I load them thru Explorer or are dragged there. The next time I load the library they will show though...
It is not a huge issue, though it is inconvient, I load images into library's to make them easier to use, not being able to use them till I reload the library is a bit inconvient.
Is there something I can do to correct this?

The redraw issue appears to be thru out the whole program in general... I believe I am using the most resent drivers for my nvidia 8600GT 512mb ram PNY card... any suggestions?

Rich how do you know you use the last drivers !?
I let my Vista update the drivers by itself 8update function
and it turned out to be a year old ones :(
Those were so bad they blued out my main screen .....
Download them from the site manually !;)
My last Nvidia drivers are about a month old ones... and they work
but update in the libraries is slow in general ; P
about half a second for all of them on a 24 in monitor

Everything seems to take a very long time to reload. MAny little things like this....
I may not use TS in vista 64, this is a bit awkward to work with right now.

I just created a primitive cylinder applied a photo of an older gentleman to it, than started to cut out the outline of his face from the cylinder. Discard what was not his face. This gioves you a curvature to his head... Applied some SDS to it after working on the mesh a bit...
Mesh disappears... it is there in the LE, it also shows in the library (I saved the scene to report to developer's) it is in the library Stack in ts... look in the folder and it is not there? I am kinda puzzled right now, I have not been using ts in Vista 64 so I am thinking it is TS and Vista thing... Anyone using 64 bit TS and running into odd things ? I can't believe this is just me, but I am sure I am probably wrong.

I'm using vista 64 but not an NVidia card - was having way too many issues with NVidia I ditched them for a shiny new ATI card.
Never had refresh problems or meshes disappearing with it so it's not a TrueSpace issue. |

I am not too sure about the second issue... I do not think something is right here... I saved the scene file, it shows up in the library stack but not in explorer...
I'll fiddle around with it later. I played around for a couple of hours and kept loosing work so I do not want to work on a real project on vista 64 and TS till I figure out who/what/when and how. I have not used any other 3D programs in Vista 64... well, I used Sketchup and it seemed to work, but I only did a couple of things...
Thanks for sharing your experience, maybe that will help.

I use tS on a 64 and a 32 bit system, and I don't notice an issue like this one at all. Not sure what to suggest unfortunately - could there be some issue with UAC or similar and the tS library folders (which would be something to do with Vista in general and not with 64 bit in particular).
What happens if you roll back drivers? I am using an odd thing on 64 bit, a Quadro card, which has a different set of drivers from the conventional NVIDIA cards, so it could be some driver issue too (since the real-time view is used to generate previews for library items).
What happens if you try libraries in different locations on the hard drive? Same thing?
HTH!

The only thing I did different with TS when I installed it this time is, instead of TS doing it's default install in c:\ I installed in c:\Programs.... I can try that and see if the default has the same effect.
Thanks for the suggestions, hopefully they help.
