I have searched the forums ad nauseum this morning (using up all of my valuable quiet time before the kids wake up and getting nothing accomplished  ) but I cannot locate a specific thread or group of threads identifying this particular issue (most likely because I am unfamiliar with some of the terms used).

Here goes:

1) Importing object from Ivy Generator (great tool) as an .obj file

2) Use the LUUV to import the object (ensuring that the textures, .png files, are in the same directory as the object)

3) Ivy loads great but when I view in solid mode, or render, each "leaf" is a small picture of the leaf texture instead of being textured with the leaf.

I am sure hoping I don't need to map this thing. I have done some various suggested things like turning off the bridge between Model and WS side but nothing is fixing this. I just don't know what else to do except just say screw it and paint the thing green and be done with it.

I assume you are using the model side.

BTW, I haven't found any program that will load transparent maps from obj file into tS properly. May be a render engine issue and where the texture is loaded.

On the model side, you need to put the diffuse channel in the color channel and then the transparent map (png) in the spot shown in the image.

Been awhile since I did this, hope I didn't mess it up.

If you add additional layers, you can add an actual transparent mask in the same box.

I made some tutorials on making plants for tS. You may be able to to utilize that information for your project.

Five part video tutorial as I recall.

Thanks jamesmc I will give that a shot. I appreciate the help.

Screenie of what I am seeing. The transparency window is only there from when I started trying some of your suggestions. Remove those windows and that is how the ivy object appears when I import it.
