Woohoo! Congrats on the release Froo! :D
Perfect time for the MMC "Warped" theme too. I bet this could be used to melt objects for use in the scenes. ;)
I can't wait to see some cool fluid renders. :) |

I haven't gotten good with the Fluid Sim in Blender yet, so I just played around with the scene that comes with the plug-in a bit. Nothing too impressive yet, but mmmmmm trueSpace chocolate. :)

It's just result of your work and efforts frootee:),
actually it's not only fluid I used with your plugin, all those little small bubbles are particles which you can also initiate inside fluid param settings. Raises up render time though. Ok, back beneath the fluid shower,...... |

4 fountains in a circle.
I plan to improve the look of the fountain flow, arrange several of these in a circle, adjust the start time of each on the timeline to get some cool effects... |

That's a nice plugin there!
You know, I came across a "fluid" video on youtube some months ago..
This is for real though. But the music is so beautiful and the movie so fitting to this thread ... so here goes: Hirzel - Andreas Vollenweider (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InktfPcQcAs) |

I was playing around a bit more and discovered that Blender does not give an accurate preview of the fluids. I was sitting there trying stuff over and over, unable to figure out why I was getting such poor resolution. Then just for the heck of it, I loaded a saved fluid into tS and found that there was WAY more resolution than Blender was showing. Just thought that I'd mention it in case anyone else was tripped up with this.
Oh, I also downloaded Mike Pan's Blender version that is optimized for fluids. It bakes the fluids quite a bit faster. Might want to check it out. He's also got a little fluid tutorial explaining how he gets decent looking water.
http://mikepan.homeip.net/resources
So here is some more playing around. Now that I know I was getting better resolution, I'll have to try something more interesting. ;)

In the domain section in Blender there are two settings, one for preview and another for render. Setting the preview bit to "final" (it's a drop-down box) is what you want, I think. |

There is still a lot more to discover. For example I created this movie at vimeo
http://www.vimeo.com/915535
and at that time there was no plugin for trueSpace so it was quite time consuming as Vray renders much faster. One shown effect there is that you can take objects away after you have done the baking. Thus put something inside the fluid lets you afterwards render with kind of an inside relief. In the sample just used cubes but think of other objects like humans, animals or whatever.
Also use Mike Pans version as I only want the fluid part of blender. Renamed in the .blender directory the file B.blend so it will start now with the usual cube and not always with the whole standard fluid scenery. |
