Hmmn - my Mum always told me that only boring people get bored, you can pay interest in anything if you put your mind to it. Now she wonders why her kids don't call more often!! (Not really).

So, how to make boring truePlace avatars exciting? Turn them into homicidal killer robot mini tanks bent on the extermination of all life - Daleks!

Of course strip poker can get pretty exciting too!

Ok, I was bored and had a few minutes over.

This is my first post here and I am not especially good with Truespace.

However, it is fun to try.

Btw, I have only been at the bowling course twice in my life, so I don't remember exactly how they look...

Great !!!

The Avatar Cobfile is below the very first image in this thread - here's the link : (hopefully this link will work or go to the thread start)

http://forums1.caligari.com/truespace/attachment.php?attachmentid=5537&d=1177299004

This avatar is just one I whipped up in a hurry and is very low poly, but I also shelled it and made the eyepiece / lens a removeable object for anyone who may want to have something inside (or entering or protruding from) the head behind the lens. I had some ideas on that but left it for you other folks to play with if you like! :D

Looking forward to seeing what you do with it, and welcome to the fun!

Thank you so very much, 3dvisuals dude.

I was quite worried that someone would make a similar entry before my forum registration worked so that I would look like a copycat.. ;)

The pleasure is mine Spyfrog...

That was a very funny idea and image you had. I know what you mean though, ideas come to all of us and sometimes the same idea comes to more than one of us. It happens, and it's happened to me here before, but unless the image posted the second time is a clear rip-off of some other artist's prior creation most of your fellow artisans here are savvy enough not to accuse anyone of such a thing without being absolutely certain beforehand.

When in doubt someone may ask for an artist to produce a screen-captured wireframe view of the work within trueSpace (which removes all doubt both ways) but for the most part we all understand that ideas are often generic and common. For this reason many artists elaborate a great deal on details added to more basic concepts, establishing their own style in the process.

So...

http://bestsmileys.com/signs10/13.gif

And keep up the posting and good work... leave the worrying to the next guy!;)

Again, welcome aboard!

Hahahaha! That's exactly the reaction I had when I first saw that little penguin animation! Sorry Dragneye... I was just dying for the right post to pop that into and suddenly there it was... just to perfect to pass up! ;)

C'mon though... this thread is just starting to roll and whatever Avatar Mod image you want to toss into the mix here is more than welcome!

Dive right in! :D

I guess they don't have to worry about virtual grass stains! :D

Good one, I love it!

It's fun doing this, huh?

Hopefully some more people will take a stab at it too, this is becoming a very funny thread!

This a great thread. I am a new user that just received my TS 6.6 and am waiting for my TS 7.5. This is sort of like "Whose line is it anyway" and you get to see different types of talent. From warped to simple and many places in between. I can't wait until I am able to spend more time going through the tutorials and am more proficient. So instead of just laughing from the bleachers, I can run down the steps and get in one of the 3 rings. (860)

Thanks for the laughs,
