It's been a while since my computer went wahoonie shaped and now I'm making stuff again.
A full working model of a messerchmitt me 262-1a, here's what I've got so far (it's not really skewed in the scene)

and here's the poly count, I'm still making the mechanics for the engine and the frame so that's just a stand in, I still also need to make the elevators e.t.c, C&C appreciated

Nice work so far - one of my favourite planes (which means I used to have an airfix model :D ) - erm, what's a wahoonie or shouldn't I ask? |

Umm, a wahoonie is a wierd shaped vegetable, but yay! I thought that I was the only one who liked it, god I need to get out more.
I'm stuffed for the cockpit data and cables, but cheers |

LOL - I knew I'd seen the word somewhere! I must confess I did not believe that a wahoonie was a vegetable so I googled it. Only 2980 hits so it's not that well known except to readers of Terry Pratchett's DiscWorld books. |

I should never have doubted you! Pratchett holds all? Presumably he holds it all in The Luggage! |

Here's one Weevil not very high res but tons of info in the referred thread and you could join the forum maybe to get more info. SimHQ holds quite a few interesting forums for getting info for plane-builders and the 262 variants are flyable objects :) in the 1946 sim

With a big credit for pato for digging it out for you of course! I'm only the Milo Minderbinder in this scenario :)

Now you mention 1946, That's the one I used to get me the main data. (and basic cockpit)
But that image is perfect, thanks for that and to Pato, I'll see if I can get an update ASAP.
I think we've got the Ofsprey book on modelling a 262 (yeah, I got a plastic kit) |
