This is just an early test to see if it is possible to make an exhibition room like in a museum. Wanted to check if impression of a hall can be given.

The celing doesn't look quite right, and you should add shine to the floor. any tiled floor in a public building will have reflections in it. You may want to go for a rich wood floor and area rugs.

Your off to a good start but I agree with kena - every museum I've ever been in has high and usually ornate ceilings. For this type of work it can be incredibly useful to have a reference photo or two to give you ideas.

Thanks for that feedback, I will see how I can realize that. I'v got quite a few good reference images from museums and I've visited quite a few in America, England, Austria, Germany and Japan.

That means impressions are quite spread. In germany for example you find a lot of very small museums that are mainly specialised on the local areas or for a special interest. In America and Tokio they were just large, huge , big while in England they were filled with partly too much stuff up to the ceiling.

So it is helpful for me to get some comments from you for focussing on a "main stream design":)

It's a nice start. I think the lighting is too even across the scene. Maybe a little more work on getting lighting set up. Maybe so there are lights on the pictures and it fades away a little darker in places. Just my 2 cents.

Sounds about right!

Museums/galleries can be quite tough due to the range of styles - even in the UK, there tends to be two main directions - the old/traditional which tend to be old buildings with elaborate detailing (like Chris's 'Antique' picture) and cluttered, or the modernist 'white box' type galleries which tend towards minimalism.

Guess you need to decide which way you want to take it. Can be difficult to show the scale too - as ceilings are often high, but the pictures can be very large, so scale can be deceptive - you may need to include figures or doors to give a definte scale (if you want it definite).

One comment I'd make at the moment - I would think it would be unusual to have seveal pictures adjavcent that are all the same height - but I guess these may just be 'placeholders' for the moment anyway.

Look forward to seeing how it turns out.
