Y'know... I think your onto something there Splinters...
Maybe you guys with all this character creation savvy should create the new "C-Forum Band"
It would be a lot of fun to see all these great characters doing a gig together! http://www.addis-welt.de/smilie/smilie/musik/pianodance.gif

Can you show a close up of the mouth area and how you are controlling the mouth expressions.
The shoulders need a little more meat. With his arms in the air the joint doesn't look right.
Excellent poses, it's about time someone took the lead!
The gender is null but his/her age group is above 40, I see gut action going on! |

It's probably best that we don't know, but he seems to like whatever it is! :p
Steinie: Is this close enough? :)
You're right about the shoulder, but I haven't figured out any way to change the model after I have attached it to a skeleton, so I probably leave that as it is. |

Whats the trick into modling those vertices on the characters face to get the eyes and the mouth exactly how you want it? |

Hey Stickman seeing as you are using Motion Studio.
Go into Setup mode.
In the Motion Studio left panel drill down till the mesh that is skinned to the MS rig is selected. Right click and select 'edit'.
You can now go back into TS and modify the geometry of the mesh and not lose any skinning or animation information.
You can even add geometry to the mesh but you will have to assign skins weights to the new vertices in Motion Studio or they will not move with any animation you have already on the rig.
Hope that made sense.
Note: I have found you can not delete geometry or all your skinning weights go koo-koo for cocoa puffs.
Let me know if that worked for you.
I have found that this can also be done with the new TS 7.5 bones system. Though I have not experimenting too much with it. |

Also note that you can edit the skin weights at anytime.
So you may want to bend the shoulders into whatever pose is giving you trouble and see if you can tweak the vertex weights in Motion Studio.
As you change the weights in motion studio you will see the changes on the mesh in TS. |

Excellent poses, it's about time someone took the lead!
Though i would agree with what you say I would make note that Stickman is using Motion Studio not the new TS 7.5 bones. (least it appears to be Motion Studio)
In particular his use of a sub skeleton for the face with possible 'floating joints' is one of the things that make such animation possible, if not fun.
I have tried something similar with TS 7.5 - but using only the demo it is a bit tough as you can not save your work and some of this causes the occasional crash which I am sure is more about my video card at this point than TS 7.5. |

Well, I don't really know if there is a trick.
I'm just trying to get some nice edgeloops around all parts that changing it's shape, like the mouth and the eyes.
Here is some facial animation tests (with sound) by the way. |

I was using the HairTsx plugin to make the fur but it just makes truespace crash all the time.
Here is a new lip-sync animation by the way. This one is a bit longer and has better lighting and rendering setup, so it took a while to render. :D
Is it just me or is it impossible to hear the sound on the first seconds when you watching a wmv-file in VLC? |

How come I can only choose between those two versions?
But fortunately I am using 6.6 so it doesn't really matter! |
