I have modelled a hooded top for a character but want to close the mesh. I have tried a few methods but none seem to work. I just want this thing to close nice and neat like the top of a poly sphere; all the highlighted faces coming to a tip.
Any ideas?
It started with a boolean cylinder to make a ring, than I removed the front face too make it an incomplete ring-I swept the top faces to get my profile. Now I have a set of faces at the top I need to close. |

Add face doesn't work? Or try to connect the vertices with edges and see what happens. Normally tS creates faces when you add edges on a concave shape. |

do you have an inside surface on the mesh? looks like it..if so deal with the inner surface first with add edges as GreySho suggested..I like bridging the gap with an edge then welding it.:) |

Not sure if it's what you're looking for, but if you select the loop on the player side, then use the "create face from selection" tool, a face will be added. Then you can select the face and use the "Tip" tool to connect all of the vertices to a point in the middle. |

Thanks guys, they all seem like reasonable ideas but none worked properly. I think I created some bad geometry so I shall have to start again...:( |

I don#t have TS 7. I still use TS 6.6. So i have no clue if my ideas are helpful.
One idea:
Make two half pieces of your mesh by separate. Now close the gap at both of them. Should be no problem now with point edit.
Polytools has weld faces. There is also a separate freeware plugin that can do this. So add a face where the separate line is at both of the pieces. Move this middle face a bit away from zero so that you have a bit space at both half pieces. Now weld it together by weld faces. This tool can make fun though. And so you might have to rearrange some edges ...
Another idea, needs also Polytools ( if not you need to move all points one by one). This one could be faster :
Delete all faces of the inner ring, to get rid off of your holefaces. Grab the outer edgeloop and move it away with grid mode on. Downwards so that it is lower than the inner edgeloop. Now try to add face at the inner edgeloop. Grab the outer edgeloop again, move it back to its original position and again, add face ... |
