Emma..thanks..:)
I was thinking when I am finished I should create a post in the garage with the final kit..all in one zip file with instructions..:D that would be easier that digging through this thread..:rolleyes: mind you by ts7.5 this all may become redundant

here's something I stumnled on to..LE shortcuts..this is just a sample of what you can make :) makes navigating the LE faster :D

INSTALL:
import the library "shortcuts Library.RsLibBtn" into button library, then load buttons into workspace
import "LEshortcuts.RsObj" into script objects library then put it in the LE in /System..

ISSUES:
the orange triangle on the LE doesn't seem to work to go up temporarily until you go down into a node first..
update: read trueblue's post below for the solution to this issue..woohoo..

Way cool Stan, this is much easier. I just tried putting the command in the button command and it works that way too! Save from having the additional scripts.

thanks guys...:) .

trueBlue..funny I tried that and it didn't work all the time..not sure what I did wrong, so I went back to activating scripts..;)
maybe you could post some of your shortcuts so I can see what I did wrong


here is a new version of the scrollwheel rotate view
there is scrollwheel click and drag = camera look around
scrollwheel click and (hold) drag + right click and (hold) drag = camera roll

I tried to make an installer for it but no luck getting it to work..
it is tempermental to get it working at the start, but worth it..:D
here is what was added in Widgets/Tools/Background/Wheel perspective to make it work..
and yes I should have included an LE shortcut to make it easier to find :p

Try this Stan on your script:
LE.OpenLocation("/Project");

Insead of
LE.OpenLocation('Project');

trueBlue,, fantastic that was it..:D :banana: ..I couldn't find any info on this function ..so just guessed my way through :D ..that is why they didn't work as commands on buttons too I gather :)

here is a shortcut to see where the scrollwheel function is added :D
when making shortcuts, they may have long paths..put them in help text..they sure won't fit on an icon image :rolleyes:

it's a .RsBtn so import it to the button library., then load in workspace.

thanks again trueBlue the button (sans script) way is easier to setup..team work..:)

oh Norm..we need .RsBtn & RsLibBtn added to upload list
