Does anyone know if there is a way to change a setting so that an extracted curve inherits the axis of the curve it is extracted from? In the pic below you can see that when extruding from an existing object it works 'logically' yet when the same curve is extracted the extrusion widget suddenly points upward. It seems to be using the default new object axis orientation, yet this is counter-intuitive in this particular case. I can't figure out a way to re-orient the widget either. My options are to extrude and then translate the new curve or re-orient the axis of the new curve, neither of which are that fluid. Thanks.

Todd, the axis direction effects the extrude widget..here I'm using my object panel plugin to change axis direction..it's an easy way to rotate axis ,should work in ts5 too ..:)
