sometimes I minimize TS so it stays in the task bar.

And sometimes I let it there over night.

Next day, when I maximize TS, it needs very long to create all of its

windows.

I do not understand this behaviour.

Why does it needs longer to start when it was longer minimized?

Is there a memory problem in TS? (My PC has 2GB memory)

If bridge is enabled, it will drain twice as much memory. Add to this the fact that it is left overnight and certain parts of your PC will hibernate. I have the same trouble with Photoshop sometimes...:)

It's usually because Windows swaps inactive allocated memory out to the harddisk (swapfile) so that it can free up the RAM for active applications. I have the same issue with my machine. If I load up Photoshop and work on a large image set or use some other app that uses a lot of memory, then when I switch back to tS it has to swap from the HD back to RAM and takes forever to load. (Unfortunately there aren't any 10,000 RPM HDs for laptops yet...) ;-)

Wonder if the dev team might want to lock the memory so it forces it to be in RAM, of course that might cause problems if you need to allocate more memory than the computer has physical memory and it would make tS less friendly to other apps.

Or tS could just have a user changeable option for this.

I think 2GB are enough even for one or two programs like TS. More important

for me ist speed. But if the memory management is the matter of Windows XP,

I think the programmers can nothing do.
