Not sure which forum to post to for this - but will try here. I'm having trouble getting TS7.11 to work properly. It will start up fine, but screen redraws are abysmal, artifacts appear such as multiple panels as i drag to another spot, and then it all hangs up.

I'm running a 7950GT2 (Dual Card) and a 30" Dell LCD flatscreen. Far as i know i have the latest drivers. Have 2Gb of memory and a dual core 3.2GHZ processor. So fare this is the only program which does not seem to like the setup.

Any ideas or help would be appreciated! :)

Just a quick reminder that serious technical problems such as this are best reported to technical support.

While you are free to post issues like these onto the forums, it is much harder to monitor the forums and spot these than it is to go through the emails sent to tech support, so posting to the forums will not get you the response time and support you deserve for such important issues.

I can't offer any explanation on this one, does sound like a graphic driver issue, but I am not familiar with that particular graphics card so can't say for sure.

HTH!

Hi Viserion,

You may have to check your motherboard bios settings and motherboard drivers if you're running an SLI configuration. Also "latest" drivers isn't always a good idea, sometimes the new drivers break things. So it can be useful to try the older or beta drivers. The WHQL drivers are always a good starting point, but if you check out different driver forums you may be able to find out what the specific issues and fixes are for each of the driver iterations.

This is particularly true for Motherboard drivers. I've found that a lot of times the latest motherboard drivers break more things than they fix.

I personally found the 8 series nVidia drivers iffy with trueSpace 7, but had to upgrade from the 7 series ones because of World of Warcraft. ;-) For my laptop, while the current drivers don't work last I've checked, I've found the 84.15 drivers do the trick for me. With your card being relatively new, you're probably going to need more recent drivers than I do for my 6600. The current WHQL drivers 93.71 seem to be pretty stable on my dad's overclocked 7900GS but I haven't tried TrueSpace on it.

Also you may want to check for heat issues. If you're running dual overclocked 7950's that's a LOT of heat. Even if they are venting externally directly off the card you can get instability real quick if your CPU, MB, and HD heat isn't properly ventilated out of the case. The cards automatically down clock if they get to 120 degrees C or so.

Are you having any problems with any other 3D apps?

If you get this solved, make sure to post the drivers you end up using so other people can benefit from that too! :)
