Trying to manually UV map an area of a model but

the drag and resize is moving way too far with each

mouse movement. It is as though there is a snap,

tab or minimum amount of distance that the mouse

will move the resizing tool. Can anyone tell me if that

is a configuration setting somewhere and how to fix it?

I'm inserting a screenshot to lessen confusion on this subject:

It always worked ok for me, smooth scaling and moving without snapping or jerky movement. Are you using the widget that's framing the current selection, or the move/scale tools in the mapping editor?

What catches my eye is the u-v repeat setting of your texture map in the material editor. Looking at the material preview it seems to be quite high. Try u repeat and v repeat settings with 1, and readjust your faces with uv editor. I can't try it myself, cos I'm out of town, but this might cause the problem.

Nice catch.

I think the UV repeat setting was the culprit.

I since abandoned that project anyway. It was experimental but,

thank you for your response.

It is the culprit. Everything besides U1 / V1 can make lots of fun when working with the UV Mapping editor. I had such fun before ... :D
