I'm trying to cut an arch into a cylinder but keep coming up

with textures that are offset a little. See Example :

http://home.kc.rr.com/rpgwork/tower.JPG

I have tried to subract the rectangle and the sphere from the cylinder

and then tried to sweep the surface to disconnect it from the

rest of the tower but it did not work as you can see in the picture.

Can anyone tell me a

good way to put an arch through a cylinder please?

How does the render look?
Some things that look goofy in the realtime display sometimes render fine.
Booleans are famous for knocking textures out of whack, you may end up having to re- UV map the tower after you are done booleans/ point editing.

I remapped the tower with cylinder uv and the texture problem was not fixed.

Not sure about the render, I think it was messed up too.. I"ll recheck the

scene and edit this post.
