The internet browser I always use is FireFox (v2). It's always been perfect in the past, but now that I am running on Vista (Ultimate), it's been acting weird. For some reason, it's saying that I need to install a plugin every time I try to play wma or wmv files within the browser. The plugin in question would be Windows Media Player.

This is just stupid! I already have WMP! (v11)

So now, I head over to microsoft.com to see if I can download and reinstall WMP, but it isn't there!!!!!!!!!

Please Help...:(

P.S. When I say that WMP isn't on Microsoft's website, I mean the "Vista Compatible" version.

Is Windows Media Player that is causing problem. I would say FireFox is ok.
Problem stems from audio codec used in our earlier vidz. WMP11 not have the codec.
Solution so far is to use classic version of WMP: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Media_Player_Classic.htm

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/XP_Codec_Pack.htm is the pack that should solve the scenario.

Recent vidz do not suffer this problem. Just the early tutorials ...
