Thanky for comments.

To much metal in ?

Looks like smoke glass ?

How can i reduce the metal effect ?

Parva ! This should be a problem of Fresnel VRay shader.

Havn´t find a way to make the glass more transparent.

Maybe numerical editor (rightclick Metal shader) on the Transparency will help but this makes the Material more brighten up.

Hmmm hmmm

Will try to fix this 2 problems today evening.

Hey Vizu,

I would keep this material in any case as it is and store it. This will look great for any type of optical Glas ie Frontlens of a camera or the tinted windows of a car. Realy great material I like it very much.

pixelpantscher is right. I mean what is wrong with a good smoke glass material? :)

p.s. it's a photo from smoke glass not a render ;)

Excuse to all early 7.x users !

This is a TS 7.x scene with VRay settings :(

Here is a 6.6 screenshot with simple glass shader

http://www.wire-frame.de/trash/66.jpg

and the archived scene for 6.6

www.wire-frame.de/trash/66.zip

i use 3 different shader settings for the glass.

Pick the bottom or top or middle of the glass to inspect the used shader.

Try the "unhide all objects" ;)

Isn´t milk but a liquid object for the glass

 Tell me your secret Vizu.
How got you the glass so clean? :D
... a pity that we can't use layers. Some lips,
dust or alike at the glass would give them an used look... I like used things ^^

Okay ! here a new VRay glass shader. Sponsored by Misc !

And now? Finally what made the difference?

Is it the ambient light, the reflexions, the shader the picture or all together?

oh oh !

first ! i create 2 different scenes.

One for VRay in 7.x the second for 6.6 with LW engine.

Than i have for the VRay scene 2 different shadersettings (one is from Misc)

Why i post it or what is the question ?

i post my scenes to share the shaders with the rest of the guys here if anyone have problems or interest on the glass in Truespace.

Not more.

Vizu unfortunately the DSL is not available everywhere. Being in Germany my village is exact 1.2km to far outside and the Telecom will not change anything in the next years :( .

Here in the UAE I get it :)

I'm living more or less permanent in the Emirates - more then 10 month a year - since nearly 5 Years now - and I still like it.

okay this week we will get more than 20°C good to ride my motoracycle :)

Some german words (my poor english)

Da in Arabien hast du eine DSL Leitung ?

Ich habe mir gerade mal den Ort wo du wohnst in google earth angesehen.

Da ist ja nur Sand oder die Stadt wurde nicht mit fotografiert.

Thats astonishing  Normaly you can even see my building on the Google earth. And here is less sand then mountains. The emirate of Fujairah is at the eastcost of the UAE app 150 km east of Dubai quite small with only 1680 sqkm and thereoff we have 78% mountains. For me an ideal place - look from the balcony to the westside and after 5 km you have mountains - look to the other side and you have a look on the Indian Ocean.

Only in summer it is a little warm with 50+ centigrade :)

Hey Parva,

nice chicken :D

Why do you think the travel agents are sending tourists from Europe to the Emirates in Summer as low as 700,- Euro a week ? :D

With the Glas it is not possible to lay a dirtmap over it? ie by copying the objekt full transparency and then the map on this second "glas" ? should work - or not
