Trying to build a wall and parts of it are curved. The issue I seem to be running into is that when I use the bend tool to bend my block it distorts it. It flares the sides out instead of a nice curved bend. Attached is a screen cap showing my problem on a primitave..which is basically the same shape as my blocks...any ideas?

Is the widget oriented in the right direction? You can rotate it and it will give different results.
Does your wall have enough extra geometry in it to give the bend tool something to work with? In other words, a cube subdivided into, say 6 equal sections will give much better results than a cube with a single face.

Attempting the same action on each object with different results. Picture is worth a thousand words...

I hope this helps,

Stenie is right - you simply don't have enough geometry on the object to get the kind of detail in the curve you expect. Slice the object a few times (or simply quad divide it for faster results) then apply the bend.
