Well, you might have constructed it so that the gap shows...

The gap theory... hmm but that is another topic entirely and is very much off topic..

You could perhaps provide a description of what you did ? That would be very helpful for others that wants to help:)

You can repair it if that is what you want to know. Object edit - delete the faces opposite each other in the gap then use the add edge tool to connect individual points across the gap. Can create artifacts if you don't do it right.

Was it some kind of extrude process you used?

gap theory eh? I don't buy into that one myself..but as you say..that is a different topic....anywho... I made a 3d out of a 2d poly line, then extruded it, then did a macro swept along a that "test" path to see if I could achieve my desired effect. I am close except for that gap.

I'm not real familiar with extruding along paths - is there a "close shape" or similarly worded option available via a rmb click on some relevant icon?

Use a second curve to loft your 2D profile (instead of a path to macrosweep).
Curves can be closed, (thus eliminating the gap) but paths are open.

Sure, I've gussied up my old loft tutorial with a slightly more comprehensive one that illustrates how to loft a closed shape.
Check it out here. (http://www.spacekdet.com/tutorials/loft2/)
Hope that's helpful, comments and questions welcome.

I like the format of how this is laid out too. Icons on top left to jump around is a nice feature.
