Hi guys,

We will keep working on this. Do bear in mind though that Vista is still new (even after all this time) and only some of our beta testers and test systems have Vista on there - all the ones that we had were working fine, for instance I am on Vista Ultimate 32 bit and have never seen this problem.

So at the moment we havent tied down exactly what causes it - it is Vista, but more than just being on Vista. Some other hardware or driver must also be coming into play (and naturally it is impossible to test all possible configurations during beta).

Please ensure you send your reports to Tech Support, and do please list every component in your system, including things like motherboard model, graphics card, video driver, amount of RAM, if you are overclocking - the more details the better so we can find out what the key element(s) is/are that make the difference between "runs ok on Vista" and "doesnt display icons properly in Vista".

And naturally, sorry this is happening :( However it will get solved as quick as we can, and to that end do please send us in the info to help us pin down the exact cause of this. Thanks for your patience.

Thanks!

Tom

I had a thought for you guys... I needed to do this for one of my other apps. Have you tried installing DX9? ;)

(Edit: this link apparently also includes a DX 10 update)

Just wanted to note that installing the latest (February) DX distributable has fixed some glitches I was having with TS in Vista x64.

Everything related to DX is going MUCH faster as well. TS is loading WAY faster and WoW is much smoother as well.

Watch and make sure it installs the the DX9 files as well. If not, you may have to download and install an older DX distribution first.
