Ok, I've set up a short animation of Bob in Workspace...the only way to record in Workspace as far as I can see is with V-ray, which I don't have. So I go into Modeler and I can still scrub through the animation with the animation bar at the bottom. But when I try to record in modeler, I get nothing but a static shot of Bob, no animation...what am I doing wrong? |

Okay, answered my own stupid question by looking in the manual "doh!"
For anyone else curious, when you've created an animation in workspace and want to render it out in modeler, when you click "render to file" there's an option box where you can choose either modeler, or workspace...just choose the one that you generated the animation in!
I didn't realize just how seperate the two elements were from each other (modeler window and workspace window)
I will ask another question though :o
I noticed that in my animation, Bob's skeleton and locks were showing. After generating the keyframes I'd check-marked the "hide skeleton" box...if I'd done that before generating the keyframes, would the skeleton have not showed up in the rendered animation? |

skeleton and skin is transfered to modeler as meshes; so if you hide skeleton before rendering from modeler, it will not be transfered... and will not show in modeler side generated animation.
you can control visibility of each skeleton element separately from character editor preferences panel. |

Thx Thomas! Appreciate it. I figured I must have just "un-checked" that box a little too late  |

Even when visibility is unchecked it does still render in Lightworks. I think this is a bug. |

I uncheck both visibility settings on skeleton panel and in lightworks the skeleton is invisable. So I don't think this is a bug. |

Here's a screencap...I've unchecked "show skeleton" as suggested but skeleton and locks and joints poking through skin on Bob still show up on renders in Modeler. Perhaps there is a bug:confused: |

Well in my case, I can't turn them back on . So yes it appears to me as a bug too. Did this animation using LW, HDRI and Simple volumetric with new bones and Animation Editor. Horse is in Objects library done by Heide and Mrbones. |

Nice! Very fluid movement on the horse, and I really like the volumetric effects, makes it look like a dream sequence!
I guess I'll post my issues in the Bugs forum so that hopefully they'll get us a patch out in the near future that will take care of this. |

Thanks, I am testing out different angles to see effects from volumetric and thinking of carrying this over to WIP for a short clip, was going to lead into like a title, hmmm dream sequence, could get bigger :). |

I dont know if this will work,
Can you right click on the dynamic pose tool and then choose hide skeleton?
Also is the bridge on? Just curious

Thx Mr. Bones! but...
Show skeleton box has no check mark in it
Bridge is set to auto
Rendering still shows locks and parts of skeleton sticking through skin
If there is another place that needs to be checked/unchecked, I haven't been able to find it. |
