Is there a way to hightlight the world center axis on the grid in the workspace? I want to do it like the modeler where there is a green line at center for the x axis and a blue line for the y axis

Also, is there a way to set up hot keys in the workspace?

How about Boolean tools?

Workspace; CTRL and R-Click on any icon to set the hot key but it will override the same key in model side.

Is there also a way to give the wire of your selected objects another colour somewhere? Tell me which mesh is selected at the moment ... ;)

And while still at it, where can i hide the lights?

Yup in the setting panel (in stack) change object highlight mode to all objects rather than sub objects then click on the default tab above it to choose colour tab-here you can set the colour when you hover over an object and the selected colour.

Remember though that you may need to set your object line colour (FURTHER UP STACK) to something other than white so you can clearly see the difference.

Alas, I am at work with no way to get grabs but ask again if this is not clear...:D

Ah, thank you. Got it. One more step towards a hopefully useful workspace :)

While fiddling around i stumbled across this behaviour: I clicked at the big button above to get to the settings panel:

And got this menu:

Then i dragged the info panel a bit downwards to see if i missed an item. And all the other panels disappeared by this.

Gave me a hard moment to figure out how to get the other stuff back. I had to click an item in the workspace. Is it meant to behave like this?

That panel is the "Settings" tab/panel. It's context sensitive to whichever window/element you have selected. Clicking on the Workspace window will give you a different set of options than clicking a specific object or another window.

I'm not sure what your screen resolution is, but you may try grabbing the 'slider" at the left edge of that panel and pulling it to the left to make that panel wider. That way you can see all three tabs at the top a bit better ("Library", "Panels", and "Settings").

Ah, so it is meant this way. Thanks. Was just unsure :)

Yes, have changed it now to see all three tabs. Running at 1024x768 here. Bigger resolution hurts my eyes with my 19" monitor. The stuff turns out too small then ... :)
