Just recently found out that my video editor...Ulead Media Studio Pro 8 can import Flash .swf files!!!! Including my Action Scripts !!!!

WooWho!

Love flash and use it in almost everything. Alas may times my creations do not perform well on most machines, so to be able to create video of the .swf files rocks!

Flash does this as well...but takes soooooooo much longer.

Anyway wmv.

How to milk a run cycle! - no sound - 720 x 480 - 30fps

Initial character animation was rendered TS 6.6 - Motion Studio - done last year

- Over the last 24 hours took animation and rendered exact same seqeunce from different angles, then imported the Targa sequences into Flash

- landscape stills - Vue 6.o PLE

(darn BBS does not want to upload file)

So here is a link to a zip with the wmv within 16 meg

That is awesome! It may just be a run cycle but the whole scene was very visually pleasing. The run cycle is very well done too. Did you do this with native 6.6 bones or motion studio? I could never figure out the old bones. Thank goodness for the new.

Native Bones...? lol Heck no! ( hereto referred to as Fossils )

:)

Done with Motion Studio - running in TS 6.6 - total of 12 keyframes spanning 35 total frames

Although new bones are a marked improvement there are a few features that keep me in Motion Studio and TS 6.6.

This is a good example..

playing as a swf file in a browser this puppy grinds to almost a hault - during the fake 'depth of field' effect

due to heavy animated motion blur to fake depth of field. playing at 30fps

-BUT

convert that .swf into a video file...?

WooWhoo!...'Priceless'

Man that is funny!

All the cycles except for the downshot towards the end are 15 frames. Only the down shot sequence is the true 36 frame original

and that DOES have that 'COF' vibe to it!

Funny

The character has mass and inertia very nice, good inertial thump on the ground with each pace Humdinger. Your character has more realistic mass than some dinosaurs I've seen

Sorry but the Flash word does make me think about the superhero Flash, one of my favourite comic characters who also runs in a rather nifty outfit. He'd need motion blur :)

Did you ever see 'Don't Look Now' Humdinger? where Little Red Riding Hood reappears in another guise as an agent of the Devil running before the innocent

If you had the character climbing Chris's fire escapes we have a film contract. Usual 10% :)

This whole exercise has me feeling like the guys working on 'HeMan and the Master of the Universe' from the 80's.

'Okay Vinny we need run cycle 3 - overlayed on background 6 - running for 4 seconds.'

This next video is an attempt at the classic 'long shadow' stuff in many of the Scooby Doo cartoons from the 60's. Simple example, but worked pretty darn well all things considered.
