Hi,

VRay seems to be the only Render that is working in workspace for me. I have loaded lightworks, but it just seems to want to render in Vray. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately Vray does not have the transparency Shader I need and the lens flares do not work for me in Vray.

Is their a work around for Vray that will produce an atmosphere effect?

I need shader that will be translucent and feather out at the edges.

Thanks

I cannot render Lightworks in Workspace either - I use the Modler to render it with.

I don't seem to be having any problems with transparency and V-Ray. Can you post your image and material settings?

If you're using the button on the bottom toolbar to render while in workspace, that is just for Vray. The workspace directly supports Vray but Lightworks and virtualight are still initiated on the model side of the bridge. I'd imagine that they will get migrated over at some point.

You can render a workspace side animation from the model side however using any of the 3 renderers. The dropdown list pertaining to current frame vs animation in the render dialogs now has the option of workspace animation and model animation. Your view in the model side is what gets rendered though so make sure you have the desired camera selected. I believe the 'current frame' setting is generally in sync between model tab and workspace tab so that's likely why they make this 3-way distinction.

Workspace animation makes use of the new AE keyframes of course whereas model animation is your good ole 6.6 style keyframes.

Thanks Professor,

I just wanted a confirmation, that only Vray worked in the workspace.

I would still like a confirmation if the Lens flares work or not. Their is a check box , but I cannot get them to work.

Certain transparency does work, like the example you give, but I want a transparency that is a consistent gradient like you can get with Lightworks.

Basically I have an atmosphere that has no pattern , it is just a light mist that is denser close to the center and then fades out. How can that be done in Vray?
