Is it possible, to animate colour?

I set a green colour at KF0 and a red colour at KF10

but the colour is always the colour of KF0

You mean like this? (see attached)
:p

It requires a little bit of LE work:

First you have to dig down into the material bricks of the object, find the color value, then you have to export it up through each level until you get to the object level. (Expand the tab, right click on the value, and choose export -- repeat at each level of nesting)
6193

Once you get it exported to the object level, you can add it to the keyframable channels for that object by right clicking on the animation editor and choosing "keying panel":
6194

Then click on colour in the keying panel which sets it as an active track for recording keyframes:
6195

You can then key color changes using the Animation editor just like translation.

Thank you.

Now I know what the keying panel means.

It's pretty cool stuff. I had no idea this functionality was there until someone pointed it out to me. :D

What's also cool is that you can use this to key creation params for primitives and LE controls like my morpher script (hopefully, haven't had time to test it yet!) directly.

Just be aware that you can't UV or PE edit or bones deform an object with animated creation params because it unlinks the creation brick.

I tried that keying panel for changing the size of a cube. But now I do not

understand what happened. Please look at the pictures.

First I recorded the size of the cube by inserting numbers in the width field.

The width field shows at each recorded keyframe the right number, but

the cube did not change its size.

Then I changed the size of the cube by hand and all is well.

Only the numbers in the width field indicated other numbers.

Next step, I made a little script to change numbers and let the output of

my script go into the width input of the cube. I recorded some frames of the

numbers, and the width input indicates these numbers, but the cube still changed its size like I had done it by hand.

What did I wrong?

The creation parameters become unlinked if you edit the cube.

Keying movement and scale is better done through the matrix. Right click on matrix and choose "Expand", that will expose the position, rotation, and scale parameters.

I think the creation parameter brick should be deleted after being unlinked to prevent confusion.
