I see in workspace that there are two ways to sweep... 'Normal' and 'Sweep'.
Not sure of the difference, but one major thing I do see missing from either version is the ability to return to segments of the sweep operation and move, scale or rotate the edge loops while you were still in Sweep Mode. Now it seems you have to exit sweep and then re-select them using the always buried point edit tools? This seems like a step backwards to eliminate this feature. PS: I really miss my pop-up point edit toolbar!:(
Am I missing something here?

You can use the select loop tool to select and scale the edge loops/face loops of the extrude.

Yes, but wasn't the 'old way' quicker; when you could adjust each individual sweep segment immediately, and without an additional reselection process? It's a feature that's been in tS since at least V.3, why drop it now?

That's a good point spacekdet. It would be good to be able to set the number of segments with the regular extrude.

The normal sweep tool is awesome though. You just click and drag the face to extrude. You can extrude multiple times very quickly and even use the PE snapping with it. This is one of my favorite tools in 7.5. :)
