The manual is still a mess. And i cannot find a useful information about this. It's about poses.

I have seen in the example movie that you can keep the poses somehow. It was the one where the feet were nailed and by pulling the hip the whole upper body went up and down. Without the arms did move out of pose. How can this be done?

Let's say you pose your hand to a fist or a more relaxed pose. How can you prevent to loose this pose for the hand when moving the arm?

Currently my hand pose gets lost, no matter if i use the IK handler or the dynapose tool at the bones/joints. Posed, moved up the IK handler, moved down the IK handler, and my pose for the hand is gone:

How about select the handle for your hand with the Align IK handle tool and it's IK handle panel shows in Panels. Check Lock Children. Does that work for you?

Align IK handle? Lock children? Aha! I really need a manual it seems. Haven't read about this stuff yet :)

Thanks for the hints. I think i can bring it to work now. Lock children did a miracle here :)

Sometimes if you don't mind a little bit of work, you can grab an existing rig set it along side your rig and than system by system look what the other character has and duplicate it on your own. By selecting the Add IKHandles tool and just clicking on a IKHandle it will highlite all the locks that mare associated with that handle. You can than look at the IKHandle Preference Panel in the Stack... look what check boxes are selected for each.

By asking questions here about these check boxes as you need, and experimenting some you should be able to get good enough idea on how to make a pretty good mmmrig.

OROE stated a thread on animating the crazy bob character, in that thread is a pretty good rig, better than any of the rigs you will mmfind in the Character Library, that should give you all the info you need till a manual comes out.

Many thanks for the advice. Will download Olli's rig now and have a closer look at it. Examples teaches more than the biggest manual. I just wait for the first patch to arrive before i go on with a new rig :)
