Hay does any one know where I can get a football mesh USA football I’ am working on a opening tag for a sports show, this is the set for the front tag the screens will have video on them but I need a ball for the center shot so the camera can move around the set but still have a center peace to focus on. I did not want to have to make on but if I do I will. Any help would be cool. |

don't have a mesh..but wow.you have alot of lens flares going on. Is the animation you doing for a real tv type production or just something you are doing for fun? |

Yes this is for a real show for local sports. The flares are a bit much but I wanted a real strong presence on the screen and after I watched a concert and I saw how the cameras made the flairs stand out I knew I wanted this for the front tag and the football will be very big in the shot as soon as I can find one. |

I'd try Turbo Squid, Renderosity, DAZ and 3D Commune as possible sources of a free US football mesh (often with texture). OBJ format would be the best bet.
HTH!

Thanks TomG
I used 3D Commune and found this football. It really added to the shot. Would like some feedback on this. I am thinking of putting the football on a pedestal but at the same time I like the floating look. What do you think any one.:) |

I like the floating effect. The only problem is the Commissioner's Name is dated. If you don't mind I don't mind. You might want to rotate the stage and the ball at different rates. I'm jealous of your job!
Now where is that beer?:) |

This is what I ended up with for the Sports show they liked the foot ball but the show was about all sports so I XXX the ball for the name of the, show but we are doing an another show that is all about football this show will have a new animated opening and a different look. let me know what all of you think of this opening. |

Maybe needs a bit of anti-aliasing and perhaps a render to double frame rate then resample down to actual frame rate to get a smoother motion blur, but other than that it's looking pretty good! :D |

Thanks for the info on the frame rate will try that out next weekend. One thing on the anti-aliasing is there away to go hi with it but it not take two days to render the scene. Any tricks would be good. |

Hmm... I like adaptive AA best. Dunno how that compares in render time to the other settings though...?

btspro, very nice work.
IMHO...
1. the clip should end with the name looking straight at the viewer, and the background being at an angle.
2. pan quicker around when the name ia being viewed other than head on
Just my 2 cents. Use what's useful to your eye:) |
