I know that this is irrelevant to tS, or even PC's for that matter, but I'm wondering, is it safe/possible/ok/smart to use masonry nails on wood? I'm trying to attach two 2/4's together.

I'm sure that at least one of you can easily give me the thumbs up/down.

I always get a giggle whenever I go to a friends house and see the way they attach things together. It is always better to spend the $2.00 and get a small box of nails than mangle up whatever you are working on.

Kind of late to respond here :p , but I've worked in building maintenance positions all my life, and I've used masonry nails on just about anything, including wood. They work fine. I've never had a masonry nail back out of wood.
