 Need some help I am trying to make some animation of a logo and ever time I go to render it I use full frame uncompressed and the other compressions too, and when I take it into Premier Pro 2.0 it looks like I rendered it in negative. I did not have this problem in TS 7.11 and I really need this fixed. |

What render engine are you using?

What happens if you render to a numbered sequence of still images (always recommended for flexibility, crash protection, etc). With Premier you should have no trouble loading those images in place of using a rendered AVI.
The still images can also be opened in a 2D image editor and see whether they are in fact negative or not.
Finally, what happens when you play back the animation, does it appear negative there, or only when loaded into Premier? (A screengrab may help since you say it "looks" negative rather than is negative, so seeing the exact problem might give some clues as to the cause and solution)
Thanks!

The render engine I am using is light works, don't have v-ray yet. Is there a setting I need to change. The stills look great in Premiere only the animation looks bad and the strange thing is it looks like the two ends are side by side like the horizontal is off. I do not have this problem at all from other apps I use and this is truly the first time I have had this with TS.:( |

sounds like, in Premiere, when combining the stils into an animation, you have selected an interlaced option, where the images are treated as, even images use the even horizontal lines, and the odd images use the odd horizontal lines, in the image. Check these settings in Premiere. I think you need to use a non-interlaced video mode when creating the animation.
Edit: I should also add that, this may be occurring on the ts 7.5 side: when rendering the avi file in truespace, make sure you do not use an interlaced mode. Same for rendering individual stills. BTW rendering out to individual stills is actually safer to do than rendering an entire avi since, if the system crashes during rendering, you can start rendering again where the system left off just before the crash. With an animation render, you have to start from scratch all over again.

The interlacing issue works both ways - tS might be rendering interlaced files and premiere is outputting them as non interlaced. If tS is outputting non interlaced and Premiere is interlacing them, you would expect jerky playback rather than the characteristic horizontal shift. |

Well I had to render the animation of the logo in TS 7.11 because of time restraints and I did not have the problem with the avi looking like it was in negative when I put it in Premiere pro. One thought could the problem be with the fact that I was using windows vista and the other computer was running XP, the Xp worked with no problems, don't know if that makes any deference. I still love the new version. |
