How do I export from Truespace Workspace side? I need to be able to do it from there as model side closes holes on my model.

Oh and it would be better if I could export an obj file to preserve the quads. This is so I can use the model in another app.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Have you tried the LUUV plugin?
In it's help file there is information about exporting to obj format and holes.
Might prove useful to read this information.

Ok. I will have a look although I don't believe you can access LUUV from Workspace which is my problem as Model side basically ruins the model. This is a model that renders and looks perfectly ok in Workspace.

I exported the model and it pretty much exported it in an unusable state. I tried another model and it exported ok. The second model I never used mirror modeling with so maybe thats the problem. Perhaps a problem with using mirror in Workspace as half the model is ok but on the other half some of the faces are missing or obscure window areas.

Think I will give up and start again. More problem than its worth to be honest.

Cheers anyway

I use mirror modellor and haven't had any of the problems you describe. Are you flattening it's history before export? Also make sure the mirror is set up to remove faces, and that the threshold to weld vertices is high enough.

Luuv has been rock solid for me so far, and I do all modelling in workspace.
