what i'm trying to do is sweep/ extrude 2 faces next to each other in mirror mode to create a body but i get this in the workspace side using the new mirror modeller:

insted of this, which is what i get with the old tool in model side:

am i just using it wrong or can't you get 2 sweeped face to link up in the new mirror modeller? when i try to slide them together they just overlap, is there another tool i should be using?

Hi jayr,

Right click MM icon to bring up settings in Panels stack. Try adjusting offset & weld distance.

Also the new mirror modeler is much more forgiving and you can just move the two faces together and they will automatically merge once the verts are within the weld tolerance.


The cool advantage to this approach is you can mirror around holes. ;)
