Shadows aren't showing up in the workspace tab, and I have had them before; how do I get them back?

I could be wrong about this, but I've found in the past when I put in the lights from Model side, I don't get shadows in WS. If I put in my lights from WS first, they cast shadows on both sides of the Bridge. Like I said, I could be very wrong - try it and see what you think :)
Hope this helps,

Thanks for the reply, but it didn't work... I just set up a very very simple scene with the default lights and a box. I added the light in WS, and it still didn't cast a shadow.

Maybe your shadows are turned off - select the light, and look at the stack. Also, make sure the light is pointed at your object - I find that it's easy to put the light so it looks like it's where it should be, but actually it's off in space somewhere. I just tested with a Spot, it's working for me...

K, I have a shadow, I had to turn on the light pretty bright though... Are you able to get shadows in WS with Local Lights? |

I don't have 'Local Lights' listed, do you mean Area Lights? Area Lights seem not to cast shadows, except in Model |

OK, I found Local Light on Model side, it seems to equate with Omni Light on WS, and it doesn't cast shadows for me in WS either - I think there was a thread about Lights in WS like this a while back...do a search and see if you can find it
hope this helps, |

Thank you (and sorry for the delayed response)! I thought I had shadows from omni/area lights and infinite lights before, but idk.... Thanks for the help, though! Appreciate it!

Infinite lights can do it as well. you have to drill down into the object in the Link Editor right now though. |
