Thanks 3dv. BTW how do you get the screenshot, then circle items in red like that? I've seen others do that too.

BTW I am about to start playing with your objects for the physics stuff. :)

actually what 3dv showed is like glue in model..
the only union in workspace at the moment is with primitives ..it works like mesh collapse rather than true boolean

it can be found in preferences on the primitives panel

Cool... glad I could help. When you use that tool I seem to recall that you need to first select the specific modelparts you want to join together via "Ctrl-LeftClick" on each prior to hitting that icon.

I used the Screen Capture tool inside PaintShop Pro for that as I usually do for image posts here. PSP was also used for the red oval and I usually use it for text additions to screengrabs as well. Great tool for sure and I've been a PSP user since the 286 computer days! You can get older versions of PSP dirt cheap ($25 or so), and any PSP version from version 5 upward can do that for you.

The objects for the Physics stuff will be fun to play with for sure! The Accelerator Device with the ten wheels will require scripting of course but it should be pretty simple to do and I'm truly hoping Norm will help us all through that. The concepts involved are easy enough but the methods of creating the actual Accelerator PhySim Object are completely beyond me (and probably lots of folks here as well) without related help at the moment.

I'm currently tweaking DX9 textures for something I'm about to upload to that particular thread (hopefully) later today... it will definitely blow some minds too! Hahahaha! See ya there! :D

Thanks Stan, I never saw that before! :o

THat screengrab of yours also shows an input for "Factory Mode." Is "Factory Mode" a term for scripted automatic data input resulting in generation of primitives?

hi 3DV, "Factory Mode." seems to be the name of the option, which by default is set to 'object'..there is also 'sibling' and 'union'
