I can adjust an omni light's brightness in the LE but how to brighten/dim an Inflight from the LE please? I'm trying to wean myself away from Modelspace. I want a medal for that btw :)

Where another more obscure term for brightness/luminance setting is 'attenuation' grrr :)

Attenuation works fine for omni lights adjusting in the LE but nothing happens when I change the TSCompatibleLight settings... Workspace window

Brightness of the infLight = Color. Make it lighter or darker. It can be done directly in Panels view.

I made it red to see what happened but nothing happened :)

Thanks very much Changa!

Make sure you're trying to change the color property of the infinite light at it's the top level in the LE. TS won't let you change property values if they are linked and getting the value from somewhere else.

Edit: the color property will also show up in the panels tab of the stack view when it's selected and it can be changed from there as well.

I can shine a spotlight through a window to light a room interior but an Inflight appears to only have the Color property and so I can't make the Inflight brighter or less Attenuated...

Where is the Inflight's effective Attenuation and other properties please so that I can bump the Inflight past 255 255 255?

Full white isn't bright enough to make sunbeams appear inside the room interior in Workspace

No GI in Workspace is there yet? Waitable forable no problem if not.

As I know there is no shadow property for inflight in real time renderer. Try to use directional light. It has more controls.

Also some lights have settings that can only be set in model side because setting them in Workspace side would break the bridge link for that light. So we still have to use Model side for much of the light settings. :(

Thanks Jack, yes they will turn up in Workspace eventually- but after I found that it seems to be best to ditch any Model space lights in a scene and start with new Workspace lights, things have improved. The LE setting of lights isn't so bad as I thought and the 'Select an object and then click top left for Centre Selected Object' function in the LE, that's rather good after wandering about in there like the Lost Soul for ages. I think Roman must have been a ruler of Sparta in a previous life it's all military training from boyhood one has to be purposeful and not allow negativity to creep in. For great rewards in this life and the next build executable :)
