It is not easy to run out of system memory space. If system RAM is full up then the operating system uses the page file on a hard drive as virtual memory, another 3GB or much more

When I dual-booted to XP last night I noticed that my pagefile defrag utility (loads before Windows) was saying that the page file was not accessible

I'd Partition Managered the XP boot partition for more XP system space a couple of weeks ago...

Looked at the pagefile setup and this is where DOH! comes in- pagefile was 32GB and had been messed about with grrr

I set the pagefile to its normal >3GB wondering if this was what was causing the (under TS7.51) 'run out of system RAM' crash

No problems so far, no running out of memory or even looking like it. It was late and only a few still renders and a Workspace animation but anyway get the rabbit's foot out. And pray for me of course :)

I wish Caligari Support had thought of this on my reports of my earlier difficulties it seems ever so basic. But some people don't have clean drinking water in England so no hassle at all and I'm loving TS7.51 with all its er, foibles. I'm the forgetful customer but they're all young and very beautiful and with incredibly retentive memories I bet. Plus can you sub me a fiver :)
