I'm trying to determine the volume and surface area of a mesh and found MeshSize 2, but it seems to be usable for early versions of TS. Does anybody know if it'll work in TS 7.5? If not, how can I determine a mesh's area and volume? Thanks.

If it worked in 6.6 it should work in model-side of TS 7.5. You may have to disable the bridge though while using the plug-in.

hm... Well, it seems I have MeshSize 1.5, not version 2. Turning off bridge did help. Unfortunately I'm getting some weird values like negative volume. I wonder if anybody has used the plugin in TS 7.5. Are there any other utilities for calculating surface area and volume of a mesh? Thanks.

Well, I've solved part of my problem. I found an article on how to go about computing the volume of a closed mesh: http://www.codeproject.com/jscript/PolyhedraVolumeCalc.asp Now the question becomes how to script it in TS, including how to get at all the triangles and vertices in the mesh.

I've just about solved my problem. I wrote a program using Game Studio Express that computes the volume of the mesh using a series of pyramids. It works quite well. While not ideal for me to save to .X and then run the program, it'll do until I can do the same thing in TS script.
