I love the new Workspace animation desk but I can't get the camera FOV to animate

As in- how to change the camera focal length on-the-fly for zooming?

Very comprehensive controls, I read the PDF and tracking the camera around works fine. Then I move the scrubber forward, change the camera FOV, the camera FOV changes in Workspace but nothing happens in playing/scrubbing the track back. I know about the right-click on the Record button to see er, things :) and I make the- wait let's present this professionally :)

Keying Panel that's it

The FOV field I tried toggling it to orange and back, still nothing changes from the camera POV in the track playback

Thanks in advance for any help offered!

Peter

Try this:

- Select the camera in Workspace so it is the active object.

- Right click the Set Keyframe (record) icon on the animation toolbar to open the Keying panel for the camera.

- Click on the FOV text in the keying panel so the FOV line becomes white and moves to the top of the keying panel. It also has a red record icon on the line. It is not necessary to have the orange tag filled in.

- Set a keyframe (record).

- Move the animation scrubber to a new frame, change the FOV for the camera and set a new keyframe.

This should animate the FOV.

The bit that catches people out is they open the keying panel and click the orange shield - this does not make the attribute active to be animated, that only occurs when you click on the text and the line becomes white.

This should animate the FOV.

It does and oh my goodness that is smoothly beautiful. Beautifully smooth :)

Thanks very much Bobbins!
