I installed tS7.51 on one of my faster hard drives which has 10K speed.

I have three hard drives on this particular computer, C, F and G, the others are CD, DVD, floppy.

When I double click the icon from C drive I can open tS 7.51 with no problems.
(tS 7.51 is installed on F drive)

When I boot up from the F drive and try to open tS, I get two things. First, the icon says tS7 not tS7.51.

Next, the program that comes up is a window with no tabs or configuration, it is merely a modeling space with no way to access the workspace or anyway to quit, load a scene or use any of the tabs.

???

The only thing I did was to make a desktop icon from the F drive on which the program is housed. When I first clicked on it, it asked me for a serial number. So I put it in, figuring that it's the same program I operate when I boot up C drive, so shouldn't make a difference, but apparently it does.

So now, I can only access tS7.51 from the slower, more crowded C drive even though it is housed on the faster F drive.

:o

You say "boot up", is F drive a different copy or different OS? If so you need to run the install program for each OS that you want TS to work in.

F is a mirror drive of C

Do you mean a RAID array, or that you just copied the files over?

No, not raid, it was bit copied over using a program.

I would try re-installing on F and see if that clears up your problem.
