Hi folks,
If you are someone with many trueSpace 7.xx (RsScn or RsRcd format) files saved already to your hard drives, would you like to be able to go inside one of them in trueSpace or truePlay and simply walk right from one to the next without even leaving First Person Navigation?
You can now thanks to trueBlue, and this is a major development for us all!
Now you can connect every scene you have on your home PC's and walk from one right to any other in FPN mode while remaining in that mode!!!
This means you can turn all your scenes into your own "Virtual Worlds" now, and you can also of course add all kinds of new interactivity to each of them as well as scripted objects which will take you right from any scene of yours to truePlaces online, or launch any external program or file you have on your system by just clicking objects of your choice inside any of your scenes.
You really should attend tonight's Script Live Meeting in the truePlace Meetingroom, I'll be happy to help you figure out how to do this yourselves and that's only one of dozens of interesting things we will be exploring together tonight.
Here's the link to the Tuesday Meeting thread where you will find trueBlue's awesome new Scene Loading Trigger, a scripted object which can easily turn your offline scenes into virtual inter-connected new worlds for immersive exploration and development!

Hope to see you all tonight, it will be a great night indeed!

By the way....
If any of you would like to actually be able to ride inside your own super fast aircraft or spaceships through your scenes or maybe even through wormholes leading from one of your scenes to another... you should also have a look at that thread above for a clear glimpse of what's coming your way now very soon!:D

This sounds great, I am looking at my CaliUniversity project again and would like to set up themed/specialist learning rooms. I had the idea of a portal in each room of the university linking to these other themed rooms but from what I can gather here, I would be able to make several scenes and link them up.
Exciting times around here...:D |

Excellent idea!
These sure are exciting times around here lately!
Actually you could even have entire scenes with their own unique activities related to specific areas of study and student activity saved to your cd or hard drives, and then using trueBlue's new Scene Loading Trigger you could set up any object inside a given classroom to be a portal which would load that scene seamlessly and instantly for anyone approaching it, or you could readily modify the trigger to utilize a left click on an object if you prefer.
Walk into your University and click on a skull model in a room and be instantly transported to a scene related to anthropology, for instance!
Great times indeed!:)

Hmmm - makes me wish I had broadband! Can't see myself ever getting into this stuff without being able to share my creations and visit with others. Maybe when I've paid off the mortgage.....
Sounds gret though :) |

Yeah, I understand what a drag it is to be without broadband or cable, I have cable now but went many years without it myself and remember how it was. Hopefully affordable cable will be coming sometime soon to Australia and New Zealand, I feel for you guys being stuck without good fast options.
In the meantime though, you should still dabble with this stuff. You can share your scenes and interconnected worlds (as described above here) by making them on CD's and mailing them to folks here. If you do, we can maybe start a group of folks around the world doing the same thing. We could modify and add to each other's scenes that way, adding new functionality to them and sharing related ideas. Might be worth trying.
Keep in mind that W!ZARD is right next door to you down under, and he's exploring all this stuff too! Maybe you two guys should toss around ideas on this stuff and ways to overcome the bandwidth blues together.
Worth a try!
