Hello, it's me again with some questions :)

I am at weightpainting at the moment. And am not so satisfied with the colours. The whole mesh turns blue. It is hard to decide what is what then. I had to switch to a wireframe mode, which shows the wire through the blue colour then, to have at least a weak impression what is what. I find it especially hard to pick a specific vertice, grey as they are. The colour nearly vanishes, especially when you are with the weightpaint tool over it. I will surely get mad with the vertices of the face or the hands here. And this is even just a low poly mesh with 4700 Tris.

Is there a way to change the colours? I would for example prefer to have the weighted vertices for the current bone red. A colour that clashes. A colour that makes it easier to see which vertice depends to which part of the mesh.

Is there a way to turn off the blue colour? So that the mesh shows in wireframe? I find the blue colour irritating and i find the green colour irritating.

Is there a way to display the vertices bigger? That is one of the nice features in Motion Studio. You can adjust the size of the vertices for the weightpainting. Makes it easy to pick them then. This feature would also be useful for modeling by the way. The Motion Studio way has also another advantages, like the Near Far view with which you could just display the vertices in a specific area ...

What irritates me too is that everything hides but the IK locks stays visible. Lucky me that i just have four here at the moment. Hmm.

While at it, is there a way to rotate the mesh without leaving the weightpaint mode? I find it irritating to switch between navigation and weightpainting all the time, and deactivating and activating the weightpainting. Lots of not necessary mouse clicks/hot keys.

colors and vertex sizes are taken from mesh editor settings.

Where can i find the mesh editor settings?

EDIT, ah got it. I had to dive into the LE, navigate to the top layer, and enter the Preferences. Many thanks :)

EDIT2, no way to change the colour of the vertexes :(

enter mesh edit mode; the panel should open in stack view. colors for soft selection and weight painting are shared; they are in "soft" aspect of mesh editor settings panel. the other possibility is to get into preferences node inside le where are all preferences panels

Thanks Tomas :)

I wish there would be a way to influence the opacity when weightpainting.

there is a appearance aspect in weight paint tool panel which can help you a bit...

Ah, the hidden features. Again trapped by them :D

The weightpaint tab Appearance has what i wanted. And here i can even set the size and the colour of the vertices. Marvellous. The vertices size is a bit small with maximum 5, but i can live with that :)

Just to repeat myself, thanks Tomas :)

I have to come back to this issue. It is unbelievable hard to follow an edgeloop here. I have at least changed the edges appearance. But this makes it even harder now without the wirelines in a visual manner that makes it possible to follow the lines. Where can i change the colour and brightness of the wirelines for the weightpainting? The mesh edit colours have no influence here.
