Two very nice entries already. Tugar's gold is great and Ed's mask is a bit like the 17th century Venetian masks. I have an idea but little time at the moment.

Shaping up nicely eveyone - lets keep the entries flowing ... no hiding behind your masks, post them! ;)
Seems to be a movie related mask theme emerging here too ... Iron Man, Friday 13th, V for Vendetta, Scream... hmmm...
...only Jamesmc has branched out so far and gone into theatre :)

Very impressive entry Blakeo. By the way, I do not understand why the host of the current challenge can not participate in voting. Voting system does not allow to affect the result as I know. |

WOW!
Not only are there so many different takes on the subject matter, but also so many different modeling and texturing approaches used.

By the way, I do not understand why the host of the current challenge can not participate in voting. Voting system does not allow to affect the result as I know.
The reason it was decided to do it this way from the start is because it is community based (ie, no one person in charge) and by the most recent 'champion' hosting but not entering the current competition it prevents any one person from dominating it. In other words, to give everyone a fair crack at it.
It also prevents anyone from setting a subject to thier own advantage, though I doubt anyone would. By having as many winners and possible it keeps it varied and interesting and, hopefully, more enticing for people to enter.
Got to agree with you about Blakeo's mask though, that's a cracking model. |

LOL Steinie. It's a pity you can't read the dire warning text off to the right :)
Thanks for the kind comments guys.
Changa, I will be casting my vote for my favourite like everyone else, but my entry will not be put up for voting, for the reasons WWotW stated.
Great to see the different approaches being used - the techniques are very informative.
If anyone out there is still to post there's plenty of time to get a entry in... come on. :D
