I think the best way to learn ts75 is just trial and error so I am trying another car. This is waht I have so far. There is no real plan, jsu fake it. |

Very nice start. Good luck with it. I know how diffictult/frustrating this type of model can be so I hope you follow it through to completion. I've been trying to get my Lambo over to the workspace side so I can play with it with VRay and stuff but so far I've been unsuccesful. |

Very good start on this one.
I have often tried to model up a car and I always get stuck on the wheel openings...they never seem to come out smooth like yours has. What's the secret?

Made some headlight cutouts and added mirrors. The mirrors need some more work. Don't really know what I am doing but I'm having fun, thats what counts for a hobbyist like me. Doing all of the modeling in workspace and only need to switch to model side to use ts6 plug-in for edge extrude as there is no way to do that in workspace. The modeling tools in ts7.5 in workspace are a pleasure to use and I personally like the point edit widget as this to me is what was missing most in ts6.6. The draw polygon on surface tool really made doing cututs for the headlight easy. |

I thought I would try and create some tires with treads for my car and wasn't sure how to go about it. I had tried the shell tool in ts6 before upgrading to ts7 and it did not provide what I was looking for. I had seen a tutorial a while back for another modeling program but was not able to do what was indicated in ts6. I was surprised to find how easy this is now in ts7 workspace side. All modeling was done on workspace side except that at then end I mirrored the tire about the center and had to use model side to do this. I need to extrude an edge to get a flat plane to mirror about but my polytools plugin said it was limited to 200 vertices. I had a registration code but I did not know why it quit working, except that I had reinstalled XP and TS and that probably made it quit working. I modeled the tire in about 30 minutes, but it took another 30 minutes at least to figure out how to register
polytools again as I could not find the instruction manual to get to the popup window to enter the serial number. The modeling tools used was to create a cylinder, adjust lops by moving, bevel selected faces, extrude faces, select
vertices and rotate and scale the edges. |

Its been a while since I have posted any thing and I guess I go tired of this car and was unsure how to proceed further. I saw a tutorial on modeling a 350z for maya and I decided to see if I could model it since the tutorial was pretty detailed. Attached is what I have so far. |

I'd say your results in following the tutorial are a success! Looking nice and I look forward to seeing more :)
Thanks!
