Space don't sell you view short now. A sunrise over a lake could be nice. And Jack I really don't know how to do a HDRI image. |

I don't have a distance view, but I enjoy the Autumn flowering Camellia in my garden. It seems I'm not the only one who enjoys it...;)

Cool thread though it might have been better in the Roundtable forum.
That's a fine view of some fine mountains rjeff only, where is NC? New Cork? New Corleans?
Nice water feature yiouy have in your front garden, Space - what's the fishing like?
Butterpaw, we have a flowering camelia juyst like yours. I've not yet got any good pix from our new place but here is a view up the river from outside my old place..... |

LOL W!ZARD :D
NC = North Carolina, but I think maybe you knew that;) (that's where I am too, but in the piedmont, not the mountains like rjeff.
These are some lovely views ... all of them!
.. I'm never sure if I'm posting in the correct place.. .:p
Actually, Norm could move this thread to a more appropriate forum with a link to it, if he wishes. On some bulletin boards, that is done quite regularly to keep the forums from getting too mixed up.:) |

Hmm yeah roundtable maybe would have been better. Hey butterpaw I am originally from your area..Actually the coast. I was born in Wilimington. My dad is from the little town of Newton Grove. Ever heard of that. I like all the views I am seeing. Being a real estate appraiser I take views serious!! |

Ok this is not a view from my house, but It is from up the road. I was doing a inspetion in the Mount Mitchell area and ran across this. The clouds were just capping the mountains and I thought it was neat. |

That's ok Splinters, shoot one anyway; what looks banal and everyday to you is exotic and different to someone living on the other side of the world.
W!zard: the fishing is great, but you didn't hear that from me. |

LOL splinters, from my front door I just get to look at the next trailer, which is why I focused on the flowers in my yard. if you post yours (I'd love to see your view, whatever it is) :D, I'll post mine, but the only photo I have is a springtime one, if nobody minds...

Very nice photos.
On posting stuff like this - just as a suggestion - isn't this why Norm gave us blog pages? I looked at the setup and it is basically the same as it is here. It appears to be the perfect place to post things that don't fit in any other category, including an image on PSD Layers. :) |

I'd tend to agree with you James.. I thought about that, but at the same time I was thinking it might be more difficult to get it transferred to there... but Good thought for the next time one of us gets an idea like this, though :)
While our primary interest is the modeling, renders, software etc,I think having some threads (or blogs) like this really enhances our sense of community...
.. and BTW.. I hope you (and everyone) will visit my blog for my exciting bit of news!!:D |

...hmmm, as more I read through this I see it as an interesting idea giving thread for outside scenerys. Even a rainy view can give some inspiration to turn into a trueSpace scenery. This was taken on a rainy day when i was looking at work outside the window. One could add ducks or jumping fishes, a frog, a small ...... |
