Wow, I found the original Ducati Monster blueprint and put my model against it...not too bad at all to say I did it by eye. I like that blueprint site...:D |

Wow, she's a real beauty. Amazing work Prodigy. I would have never even attempted something as complex as a car; not with all those curves. But, having just read this thread all the way through and seen all the great pics of your project as its developed, it has given me the know-how and confidence to have a bash myself. Great model, great thread. Keep up the good work. |

It's coming along very nice Prodigy. Que: If you made the model larger, does it help with the render lookin more realistic? |

Looking really nice Augusto. Are you going to leave the windows blacked out or do you plan to model an interior? |

Yeah but who wants to model a Prius? Hardly a muscle car!!;)
Beautiful job Augusto - and you can have as much fun as you like with this baby and you know it won't cost a cent to run nor will it be clogging up what's left of the atmosphere!! Yay! |

'Cept there's more pollution put out in the making the batteries for the Prius than the muscle car emits in exhaust. ;)
And electric cars don't save on fossil fuels either since it just means the power plant has to burn more. :p |

LOL - yeah, and we can't go back to horses and cart either coz horses emit greenhouse gases too! Maybe we'll all have to start using skateboards! |

Would have been neat if we could have harvested the ocean's tides, which are fed by the moon, to power a huge electric drag-strip. Some of the dragsters I see tearing up the strips now are electric.
Instead of batteries, they should collect current from the track like a high-tech slot-car-race-track! |

Giant Scaletrix! Or however it was spelled. Takes me back to my youth - though I only had one basic set, and my main joy was making corners bank and be steep enough that the car would simply leave the track and sail off across the room. Of course allegedly the challenge was making it round the corner without that happening, but that was the point at which I had the real "woohoo!" feeling. What fun!

Sounds like a topic for a modeling challenge! :D
Heck the track could be set up with physics and scripted controllers too. ;) |

When I was a young teenager there was a guy who lived two houses up the road. He had to park his real cars outside because his basement was completely taken over by a massive 8 lane slot car track. He was always looking for guys to come and race against him and had special cars for his guests - as you can imagine he was a very popular neighbour with the local boys!!! Fun times :D.
Norm - I'm with you on harvesting the tides for electricity generation. It seems like such an obvious source of free energy I'm constantly amazed that tidal power generation isn't being developed at a much greater rate.
Perhaps designing tidal power stations could be an interesting modeling challenge! |
