Really nice work. I'm still not sure about those plastic plugs but this is still a great piece of work.

Neither am I . I haven't managed to get the effect I was originally trying for. I will try and sort it out before the deadline but I can't promise anything.

Lovely work Hemulin, been an interesting experience watching your skills develop over the years. Still, surely you have some 'real' work to be getting on with...

Very proud of you all the same, makes the job worthwhile...:D

Haha, you read too quick. I edited out that line thinking it was a bit too cheeky. But yes it is true, work sometimes leaves no spare time.

Beautiful work Hemulin. What render engine did you use for the final images?

Hi Hemulin, great work, I followed the thread with much pleasure!

Your final renders are beautiful, how did you get the outline on the second render, is that a toon shader?

cheers

Georg

It is indeed. The toon shader layer was then blended with the original layer (mostly). I was going to go for the render fading into wireframe look but it didn't come out how I wanted so I discarded that one.

Really great work. Which toon shader did you use? I like that look.

well man...been fun to compete with ya..and you too.

even if we did the same generation card..just different model. Nice to see the difference in design and style.

I think the differences in how people make their models is one of the most interesting parts of the SMC/MMC. Each person has their unique style which defines them and these challenges are a great way to show it.

I have been looking at different rendering techniques and found this interesting example.

This is perhaps not the best type of model to try it out on but here's my attempt:
