Hi everyone, my name is Emmanuel Pernett and Im from Colombia. Its been a while since I made my last 3d image (like a year and a half :( ) because I graduated from my school last year and then started to study in the University and... AHHHHH suddenly I dont have any time for myself! but well... Recently I've been working on a new project using trueSpace 6.6/7.1 (Basemesh, materials and rendering), Topmod ("Menger sponged sphere"), Zbrush 3.1 (detailing and bump maps) and some photoshop (Postprocess). Its at its early stage and I would really appreciate your critts and coments. :jumpy:

Very cool Erpax! I like your vision on this!

The snake looks a bit smooth, could be because the scales are too small. I'd like to see this scene rendered with GI in VRay or Dribble. The fog could be composited back in using a depth map and your paint program. :)

I know it would help me give feedback if I knew the purpose or meaning of the image...:)

The blue fog(?) is quite distracting and the main focal point at the moment seems to be the shell with the writing on it.

Can't really offer much more than that at the moment but it is a good start. Hope you are enjoying tS7.1...:D

The second image has much more visual impact than the first - the snake is more prominent and doesn.t get as lost against the background.

One of the things I really like about tS and 3d work in general is the ability to use shadows artistically and dramatically - yuou might want to think about how you can incorporayte shadows and lighting angles to add further impact.

Definitely off to a good start.

I Like the lettering on the shell,

The gradient as it goes downwards is a nice touch.

It is interesting. It helps if I know the context of what the image is supposed to be used in to help me provide any value. Right now it just seems so overpowering.

Hi everyone! thanks for your comments! I really appreciate them :D

I know it took me a lot of time to reply... sorry for that :(

About this image i must say that i won't be able to keep working on it. Sadly my computer was infected with a virus about six months ago and I lost ALL my 3-D projects :( :( :( :(.

Since that occured and with my mechanical engineering studies in the middle of the way I have had to abandon (temporarily) the artistic modeling, but in the meantime tS has really helped me A LOT with my engineering/math projects (Im going to create a new post with them :) to show another side of tS :jumpy: ).

By now, well, Im on my first day of vacations and i hope that i will be able to start a new project in the next few days, 'till then I can only say thanks again! :D

Take care
