Thanks, denden Post by TomG // Apr 3, 2007, 7:51am TomG Total Posts: 3397 3DS is not a good reliable format to use for tS, there are too many "variations" on it, so all too often it just won't work. The preferred format to use is OBJ. You would be best to use the LUUV plugin, not sure if that exists for tS4 though, tS5 and upward I am sure it has versions for, and indeed is included with tS6.6 and above. OBJ handles geometry and UV mapping so you get your textures too - native tS OBJ handling I think just does geometry and UV map, and you'd have to repaint to get the textures back, but it may not even do the UV map succesfully. LUUV overcomes these limitations (though the mesh may still need a little repainting / re-organising once inside ts). Animation or rigging (skeleton) data is not supported in OBJ though. HTH!
