Hello,

What folders/files do I need to copy from one machine to another so that the scenes, textures, lighting, screen, etc is the same when I want to do my work on one computer than another?

I know I need the *.scn file and probably the *obj folder, but are there others?

For tS5, the .scn file contains everything except the textures. So you can move just that one file, and you'll get lighting, all the objects, position of cameras, etc. Of course the objects will all have textures on them, BUT if yu used a texture map, that will simply point to a location that you will need to recreate on your new machine.

Eg let's say you stored your textures in C:\Textures, and painted an eyeball with C:\Textures\Eye_blue.jpg. The eyeball object will have a material that points to that file, so you'll need to put the file in that same location in your new computer to get an instant result.

Note that if you choose to put all your textures in a new place on the new machine, like C:\MyTextures and you copy all your files (including your Eye_blue.jpg) there instead, then tS will report it can't find some textures and ask if you want to locate them manually, tell it yes, point at Eye_blue.jpg, and tS will ask if you want to add this to the texture path. Tell it yes, then next time it can't find a texture where it expects it will go and search that location for a file of the same name.

HTH!
