Foreground right is still too empty. Need some files strewn about )like someone said above, but I forgot who)

Other than that, I would suggest a color version and a Black and white one. I bet the Black and white would have a film noir look.

The only things jumping out a little is the brass material on the desk lamp.
Tone it down/grunge it up a wee bit.
Oh, yeah, and the texture repeats on the file cabinet drawer fronts.
But now I'm nit-picking.
On the other hand, if you're happy, who am I to argue with a moll packing heat?

I dont agree with adding to the right foreground, I think the focus is well placed as is. Yeah those file cabinet fronts do repeat, didn't notice that at first. Maybe a little variety. Really nice work!

This is really nice WWotW! I like how the materials and lighting are coming along. Only things that jumps out at me is that the legs seem a bit thin...

Excellent Kate - I didn't get my ray of light but the flare effect in the window works. I'm not sure this still has the film noir look that you had earlier but it rocks non-the-less.

I like the way the floor pattern drags your eye into the picture toward the mysterious door...

It's great work Wicked and I hate to nitpick something that might seem irelevant but how "were" the files sitting inside the cabinets? No folders or folder hangers?.

Sorry. :D The whole scene has good tension.

Nice work, I particularly like the alternative version, it looks very sinister. :)

Show me something between the two if you can. I like it dark but not sure if this one is too dark. You lost a lot of details.

I really like the B&W one myself, though I think it could be lightened up just a hair. Something about the B&W one just gives more of an impact I think. Perhaps it's that B&W itself implies a lack of clarity. When things become clearly known or understood, we sometimes refer to it as "seeing in color". So the B&W kind of reinforces the concept that we don't know if she's good or bad.

The alternative one is interesting too, but very dark. If you didn't already know that she had a gun it would be hard to make out.

Looking very cool though Kate! :D

hmmm, this is one of the more interesting scenes I've seen in a while(I still lurk the forums even if I don't model much) maybe a whisp of smoke from the tip of the gun and some shattered lights on the floor? the dress and shoes could use to be shinier so that you get a few highlights for shape, right now they look like cardboard cutouts. as it is, this is far better than anything I could do :)

That frosted glass in the door is pro, very real looking.

Brighten up enough to see the outlines of the dress and gun - lovely scene - fit for the cover of a Detective novel. :)

I second that, On my monitor you lost the grain on the floor.

The last image is the best yet (IMHO)

And the grain shows up fine on my monitor...I thought black and white would work best until I saw it. Unexpectedly, for me at least, colour, and especially the last one, works best in terms of mood.

I can also see the grain on the floor just fine. I like this one. It makes you wonder what will happen when someone comes through the door. :D

Hmmm...

I just rechecked last picture on my work monitor and it is much darker despite fiddling with settings. At home monitor is an LG, at work a Dell. So, your picture has become an education in monitors for me...And it probably explains different reactions too...

really good one. I like it.

I miss just the shadow from a window at the right wall and maybe some more

street light that scatters trough the room.

The last version is the best so far for me Kate. I like Marcels suggestion - perhaps an oblique light that shines on her - like those red neon Hotel signs you get in all the best noir movies!

Very cool work. The B&W pic didn't work for me as well as I thought it might. Perhaps with a lot more contrast and some grainy noise to dispel that smooth CG look. With some post work and filters that could be outstanding. Well, I should say, even more outstanding than it already is.!
