This is my first post, but I have been using TS since the original, skipped from TS4 to 7.5, so still getting acquainted with UI. Just thought I would throw this image out there, I had the stained glass and the spiral staircase from seperate projects, trying to bring them together; any ideas, criticism, etc. are more than welcome, thanks

Looking good. Expand on the lighting a bit perhaps so everyone can see what's in the room.
And for Pete's sake, pick up those papers or no milk or cookies for you! :) |

That Robot looks familiar did you have him in earlier work at the Gallery? Welcome to the Forums. There is a huge difference between tS4.3 and tS7.5 workSpace side.
Your rendering is nice but it has too many lines. (shadows lines, window panes trim etc) I cannot figure out it's message also. Is the piano adding to the scene?
What do you want the viewer to experience when they see this? Also I find it too dark.
Just my initial reaction to your WIP.
I'm glad your posting your work here and wanting to improve like the rest of us. |

yea...the message is definitely unclear, was honestly playing with lighting variations mostly, on my way to defining the idea I have. Originally the scene was much brighter, with light cast through the stained glass. I liked the effect, but it started looking a little too easter-ish, so I moved to a darker motif |

Curious, this makes me want to know what is going on? .. like coming in on a very complicated story.. beginning of a movie maybe.. i almost expect we'll pan left.. and see an outstretched arm on the floor.. (somebody dead? knocked out cold? piano bench knocked over? .. hmmm)
My only crit at this point would be about the triple shadows from the window bars..
I am a real newbie modeler, so I'll pipe down now :D
just... show us more ^_^
oh! and.. welcome! |

Hi DrAlto,
I'm working on TS6.6 mostly on models and not the fancy lighting and such.
Your room is very impressive. The TS7 produces such realistic looking images.
You say that the glass and staircase are left over from previous projects. What types of projects have you done?
Am I nosy or just curious? :D |
